About the project

Languages Bring Us Closer is an Erasmus project funded by the European Union in which organizations from five different countries participate.

The project includes transnational meetings with teachers and joint learning, teaching and training activities with teachers and students.

The aim of this project is to open Pandora's box of COMMUNICATION. Its content is immense and diverse, investigating as an active part within a community that is sustained and developed based on communicative relationships using different languages. The project opens the door to smaller sub-projects that will focus on one of the languages and investigate the strengths and weaknesses to make proposals.

Who make up this project?

  • Navalcarnero - España
  • Praha - República Checa
  • London - Reino Unido
  • Peiraias – Grecia
  • Pianezza – Italia

What does it consist of?

The content focuses on three main blocks:

        a) The standardization or universalization of signaling (danger signs, traffic signs, alerts or indications at airports and places of transit)
        b) Visual communication in art and advertising
        c) The power of the image in teaching (for disability, for literacy, learning a new language).

Objectives:

  1. Carry out a research project on the history of the chosen language, who communicates with it, how it has evolved, what relationship it has with other languages, in which culture or community it is used. This objective is the theoretical part that will frame all the work.
  2. Create materials, activities and games, to be able to get closer to their knowledge. They can be raised for different ages or for different levels of learning. After the research work, this objective is more practical in terms of having to elaborate resources with which other people can use the language chosen as a communication code.
  3. Disseminate the language you are working on, what has been learned and researched about it. It is about giving visibility to the entire project.
